Question 640353: Please help! I need to solve for x
x/r-h=4 Beside it it has in parenthesis r=0 with a line through the equal sign. Please show work, I need to know how to do this stuff.

Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
- h = 4; that means r can't equal 0, (division by 0 is frowned upon)
add h to both sides
- h + h = h + 4
= h + 4
multiply both sides by r
r* = r(h+4)
cancel r on the left
x = r(h+4)
or
x = hr + 4r
