Question 631460: I need to FRACTOR completely. The following two problems:
Problem 1) 78x^2y +48xy^2+8y^3
here is what I got ..Is it right:
72x^2y+48xy^2+8y^3
= 8y ( (3x+y) ^2)
= 8y (3x+y)^2
answer: 8y(3x+y)^2
Problem 2) 18x^2-32y^2
here is what I did to this one..
18x^2-32y^2
=2 (( 3x-4y) (3x+4y ))
=2 (3x-4y) (3x+4y) sign of the term will not change.
Are my solutions correct?
