Question 63075: Find the value of the polynomial for the given values of the variable:
-x2 - 5x - 6, where (a) x = -3 and (b) x = -2

Answer by praseenakos@yahoo.com(507)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-x2 - 5x - 6, where (a) x = -3 and (b) x = -2
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer:

f(x) = -x^2- 5x - 6

when x = -3, f(x) becomes f(-3)

f(-3) = -(-3)^2- 5(-3) - 6

= - 9 + 15 -6

= 0

when x = -2

f(-2) = -(-2)^2- 5(-2) - 6

= - 4 + 10 - 6

= 0

Hope you understood.
