FACTOR Completely. If polyonomial is PRIME state it.
1. -2x-99+x^2
2. 40a^8+16a^7+25a^9
3. 25x^2+10x+1

Now this is how I was doing it:
1. -2x-99+x^2
Factor the trinomial
x^2-2x-99
Answer: (x+9) (x-11)
Am I on the right tract?

remove a^7
= a^7*(25a^2 + 40a + 16)
No negative numbers
25 is either 1*25 or 5*5
16 is 1*16, 2*8 or 4*4
Find the combination that works

When both ends are perfect squares, try that first.
