Use rational roots theorem to solve: (with synthetic division)
...0..|.....1......0......-13.......12............
...1..|.....1......1......-12........0 (1 is a root)
f(a)=(a-1)(a^2+a-12)
f(a)=(a-1)(a+4)(a-3)
