how do you convert standard form to vertex form in the equation:
y = x^2 +13x+12 ||Completing the square
y = (x + 13/2)^2 - 169/4 + 12
y = (x + 13/2)^2 - 121/4 V((-13/2), (-121/4))
the vertex form of a parabola opening up or down: where(h,k) is the vertex.
The standard form is , where the focus is (h,k + p)
