Question 61899: Some help Please

given f(x)=3x-7, find f^-1(x)
thank you for your time

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
given f(x)=3x-7, find f^-1(x)
Write as y=3x-7
Interchange x and y to get:
x=3y-7
Solve for y:
y=(x+7)/3
y=(1/3)x+(7/3)
This is f^-1(x) or the inverse function.
