Question 61722: Can you help me please
Find all three zeros of f(x)=x^3-4X^2+13x+50 given that 3+4i is a zero
thank you

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find all three zeros of f(x)=x^3-4X^2+13x+50 given that 3+4i is a zero
If 3+4i is a zero so is 3-4i.
Then (x-3+4i)(x-3+4i) divides f(x)
Simplify:
[(x-3)^2+16] divides f(x)
[x^2-6x+25] divides f(x)
Divide f(x) by x^2-6x+25 to find the remaining factor
which is x+2.
-----------
So the three zeroes are 3+4i, 3-4i, and x= -2

Stan H.
