Question 61493: COuld someone please explain how to work the following problem out?
Multiply: 8 a3+64
_______ x _____
3a+12 12
The 3 in this problem is an exponent. I have multiplied all exept the a3+64. I cannot figure out how to factor it. Thanks for your help.

Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8/(3A+12)*(A^3+64)/12
8(A^3+64)/12(3A+12)
(8A^3+512)/(36A+144) NOW REDUCE BY DIVIDING ALL TERMS BY 8
(A^3+64)/(4A+18) YOU CAN ALSO HEXTRACT 2 FROM THE TERM IN THE DENOMINATOR
(A^3+64)/2(2A+9)
