ab + a + 4 + 4b

(ab + a) + (4 + 4b)

a(b + 1) + (4 + 4b)

a(b + 1) + 4(1 + b)

a(b + 1) + 4(b + 1)

(a + 4)(b + 1)

So ab + 4 + a + 4b completely factors to (a + 4)(b + 1)
