Question 602611: I'm trying to remember a trick to switch around the denominator of the second part of this so it is the same as the first. I think it involves changing a sign somewhere but I can't figure it out. Please help.

You can factor a negative one from 1-3m to get -1(-1+3m) which rearranges to -1(3m-1).

This means that the sign in the second fraction will change from a negative to a positive.
