(2/5) - (y/(y-2))
The LCD is 5(y-2)
Write each fraction with LCD as its denominator, as follows:
=[2(y-2)]/LCD -[2y/LCD]
Combine the numerators to get:
=[2y-4-2y]/LCD
= -4/[5(y-2)]
This is the simplest form you can get.
