Question 588015: I am creating my own area rug from a square piece of remnant carpeting. I plan on cutting 4 inches from the length and 3 inches from the width. The area of the resulting area rug is 1056 square inches. How do I write a polynomial that represents the area of my area rug. Also, what is the perimeter of the original piece of remnant carpeting?

x=36
32*33=1056
p=4*36=144 inches
