Question 568336: Problem is F(x) = -(x-2)^2 -7 I need to find the vertex , line of symmetry, maximum/minimum value I am not sure if I am doing these problems right can anyone help me with a step by step? Thanks
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The equation is in vertex form.
Notice that is x = 2, y will be -7
Notice that any other value of x will result
in y being a value more negative than -7
----------------------------------------------
F(x) = -(x-2)^2 -7 I need to
find the vertex (2,-7)
-----
line of symmetry:: x = 2
---------
maximum/minimum value::: max = -7
