Solve for y:
-2x + 4y = 8x + 12
:
Add 2x to both sides and you have:
4y = 8x + 2x + 12
4y = 10x + 12
:
Divide both sides by 4:
y = (10/4)x + 12/4
y = 2.5x + 3
