Question 555483: This equation is difficult. I have tried this expression six times and the answer is wrong still. I need help.
1/x-3 + 2/x+3 = -5x/x^2-9
(x^2-9)1/x-3 + (x^2-9)2/x+3
(x^2-9)-5x/x^2-9
or (x+3)*1+(x-3)*2=-5x
1x+3+2x-6=-5x
8x=3
x=3/8
My question is how to arrive at 8x=3? Show steps how to add or multiply or subtract to get 8x. I can do the expression until I get to this point. I do not understand how to simplify and expand to get the answer.
