or (x+3)*1+(x-3)*2=-5x
1x+3+2x-6=-5x

My question is how to arrive at 8x=3? Show steps how to add or multiply or subtract to get 8x. I can do the expression until I get to this point. I do not understand how to simplify and expand to get the answer.

Add the fractions on the left. The LCD is
Simplify the numerator and denominator on the left side.
Multiply both sides by
Add 5x to both sides.
Add 3 to both sides.
Finally, divide both sides by 8.
