Root Determination: (x - root)
Root of -1 ~> (x + 1)
Root of 1 ~> (x - 1)
Root of 3 ~> (x - 3)
(x + 1)(x - 1)(x - 3)
(x^2 - 1)(x - 3)
x^3 - x - 3x^2 + 3
f(x) = x^3 - 3x^2 - x + 3

The roots are -1,1,and 3 and the degree is 3.
(x=1)(x-1)(x-3)=0 when x=-1,1, or 3
