Question 522949: Simplify by removing factors of 1.
s^2-81/(s+9)^2
I understand this factors out to (s+9(s-9)/(s+9)(s+9), but from here, how do I handle having nothing on the bottom? It would be s-9/ ?? Also, what if this occurs on the opposite? An equation on the bottom half of the fraction but not the top?
Thanks for you help!
