Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It depends on the value of x and y.
In general, the left side will not equal to the right side.
left side says to multiply x and y and then cube it.
right side says to cube y and then multiply by x
take some examples
let x=2 and y=3
6^3=
6*36=2*3^3
6*36=2*3*3*3
6*36=6*9
which is obviously not true.
to make it correct you must make the left side equal the right side.

It is incorrect. (xy)^3 means that you mutiply x and y THEN cube it. But, xy^3 means that you cube y then multiply by x.
