Area(A) of a rectangle equals Length(L) times Width(W) or A=L*W
Length of rectangle=(2x-7y)cm
Width of rectangle=(2x+7y)cm
Area of the top=(2x-7y)cm*(2x+7y)cm using FOIL, we get
Area of top=(4x^2+14xy-14xy-49y^2)cm^2
Area of top=(4x^2-49y^2)cm^2
