I am having trouble with stating restrictions for variables in rational expressions. the question i am having a problem with is: 3+x/x(x-2). all i have got so far is let x(x-2)=0. i was told that to state the restriction let the denominator =0. then solve for the variable. I don't know what my next steps are. please help!

The denominator cannot be zero.
If x(x-2) = 0, then either x = 0 or x = 2.
--> x<>0 and x<>2
