you drive 24 miles round trip each day to work.

5 days times 24 miles per day equals 120 miles a week.
120 miles divided by 28 miles per gallon equals 4.285714286 gallons per week.
4.285714286 * $3.65 = $15.64285714 per week.
if all you did was drive back and forth to work, those 15 gallons in the tank would last you 15 / 4.285714286 = 3.5 weeks.
