can you please help me solve this polynomial equation (x^3+8) by factoring and using the principle of zero products?
------
Solve: x^3+8 = 0
Factor:
(x+2)(x^2-2x+4) = 0
----
x = -2 and
Solve x^2-2x+4 = 0
x = [2 +- sqrt(4-4*4)]/2
---
x = [2 +- sqrt(-12)]/2
---
x = [2 +- 2sqrt(3)i]/2
---
x = 1+sqrt(3)i or x = 1-sqrt(3)i

Solve by factoring:
Can't really solve this "expression" until you set it equal to something, thus making it an "equation", but we can factor it.
so we have the sum of cubes and there is a factored form for this:
so...
...and that's the best we can do!
