Hi,

Divide and Check

(x^3+2x^2-3x+2)/(x-1) = x^2 + 3x  R = 2

Using Synthetic Division:

1	1	2	-3	2

		1	3	0

	1	3	0	2

Checking:

(x-1)(x^2+3x)+ 2(x-1)/(x-1)= x^3 + 2x^2 -3x - 2
