Question 481735: f(x)-3x^3-6x^2+10x+9;[-1,0]
Use the intermediate value theorem to determine whether the polynomial function has a zero in the given interval.
Thank You

Hint: Plug in the left endpoint x=-1 into f(x) to get some value. Make sure you take note of the sign of this value.

Now plug in the right endpoint x=0 into f(x) to get another value. Again, take note of the sign.

Now if there was a sign change from f(-1) to f(0), then a zero exists in that interval.
