Question 48157: How to solve: A = 1/2h(Bb) Solve for "b"
Answer by tutorcecilia(2152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A = 1/2h(Bb) Solve for "b"
A(2/1) = 1/2h(Bb)(2/1)
2A = Bbh
2a(1/B) = Bbh(1/B)
2a/B = bh
2a/B(1/h) = bh(1/h)
2a/Bh = b
.
Check by plugging (2a/Bh = b) back into the original equation.
A = 1/2h(Bb)
A = 1/2h(B(2a/Bh) [Cancel wherever possible]
A = A [Checks out]
