Hi,
Using synthetic division: roots are: 1,-4, i,-i
x^4+3x^3-3x^2 +3x-4)/(x-1) = x^3 + 4x^2 + x + 4
1 1 3 -3 3 -4
1 4 1 4
1 4 1 1 0
(x^3 + 4x^2 + x + 4)/(x+4) = x^2+1, x^2+1 = 0 , x = ± i
-4 1 4 1 4
-4 0 -4
1 0 1 0
