Please show how this is done.

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(1) when f(x)=(x^2-5)/ (x+3)
-----------
Sub 1 for x
f(1) = (1-5)/(1+3) = -4/4 = -1
