Question 474865: Use the FOIL method to find the product.
(5x^7-2)(x^8-8)=_____
Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(5x^7 - 2)(x^8 - 8)
= 5x^7(x^8) + 5x^7(-8) - 2(x^8) - 2(-8) {used foil method}
= 5x^15 - 40x^7 - 2x^8 + 16 {multiplied through and added exponents when multiplying}
= 5x^15 - 2x^8 - 40x^7 + 16 {wrote in decreasing order of exponents}
