Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
cross multiply
x(x-4)=x-6
x^2-4x=x-6
x^2-5x+6=0
x^2+6x-x+6=0
x(x+6)-1(x+6)=0
(x+6)(x-1)=0
x= -6 OR 1
