Question 45399: WHAT IS THE BASIC RULE TO WRITE THE POLYNOMIALS IN ASCENDING AND DECENDING ORDER. ONLY EXPONENTS OF A PARTICULAR VARIABLE IS TO BE CONSIDERED OR SIGNS(NEGATIVE VALUES) ALSO TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION? Answer by mathgenius(8) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I believe they're talking about something like the following example:
x + x^2 + 3
See, you would need to rewrite this like:
x^2 + x + 3
Why? Because variables with exponents come first, then the variables with no exponents, then the whole number.
