8x+4y=8
-8x+2y=8

Add the 2 equations to get:
6y = 16
y = 8/3

Solve for "x":
8x+4y = 8
2x+y = 2
2x + (8/3) = 2
2x = 2- (8/3)
2x = -2/3
x = -1/3

B) graphically
8x+4y=8
-8x+2y=8
-------------
Solve both for "y":
y = -2x+2
y = 4x+4
----

C) numerically
