Maximum Heart Rate When exercising, people
often try to maintain target heart rates that are a percentage
of their maximum heart rate. Maximum heart
rate R is R=220- where A is the person�s age
and R is the heart rate in beats per minute.
(a) Find R for a person 20 years old and R for 70 years old.
(b) Sketch a graph of Assume that A
is between 20 and 70 and put A on the horizontal
axis of your graph.
(c) Interpret your graph.
