To find the original f(x) we need to multiply
(x^2 + 3x - 5) by (x - 3) and then adding 2...we get
f(x) = x^3 - 14x + 15 + 2
f(x) = x^3 - 14x + 17
so that
f(3) = 3^3 - 14(3) + 17
f(3) = 27 - 42 + 17
f(3) = 2
Close, but I get positive 2, not -2.
