Question 437725: Need help with LCM for (35z^6 and 175z^5) and LCM of (2 + 7r), (4 - 49r^2), (2 - 7r)
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Need help with LCM for (35z^6 and 175z^5)
---
Always factor:
35z^6 = 5*7*z^6
175z^5 = 5*5*7*z^5
---
LCM must have each of the factors in their highest power.
LCM = 5^2*7*z^6 = 175z^6
=====================================
and LCM of (2 + 7r), (4 - 49r^2), (2 - 7r)
2+7r = 2+7r
(4-49r^2) = (2-7r)(2+7r)
2-7r = 2-7r
---

Stan H.
===========
LCM = (2-7r)(2+7r)
