Use the foil method to find the product
(7x^2-6)(x^4-7)
-------------
F: 7x^2*x^4 = 7x^6
O: 7x^2*-7 = -49x^2
I: -6*x^4 = -6x^4
L: -6*-7 = 42
--------------------
Combine to get:
7x^6-6x^4-49x^2+42

Recall that the FOIL method will only work when multiplying two binomials. If either of the polynomials isn’t a binomial then the FOIL method won’t work.

There's a lesson on FOILing in the Algebra 1 section. Try looking that up for more specific directions.
