THAT IS WE HAVE TO FIND VALUES OF X FOR WHICH F(X) TENDS TO INFINITY...THAT IS D.R.=0
X^2+2X-3=0
(X+3)(X-1)=0
X=-3............AND...............X=1
ARE THE 2 VERTICAL ASYMPTOTES
