I tried to work out this problem: 2x^4+10x+8=0 and i got that x=+ or - i and x=+ or - 2i.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! I'm afraid not...
By inspection, x = -1...and if you divide the polynomial by x+1, you get
2x^3 - 2x^2 + 2x + 8 = 0 or
x^3 - x^2 + x + 4 = 0
which has no rational roots...
