8x^2=5x
show work

Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Okay, from
8x^2 = 5x
let's subtract the 5x and then factor giving us
8x^2 - 5x = 0
x(8x - 5) = 0
so that
x = 0 or 8x - 5 = 0
The second one can be solved giving us
8x = 5
x = 5/8 as the second solution...
