I need someone to explain these for me... it says to
Find the GCF of the first two terms and the GCF
of the last two terms for each polynomial.

10p³ - 25p² + 4p - 10

You can factor the first two terms

10p³ - 25p²

by taking out GCF = 5p²

5p²(2p - 5)

You can also factor the last two terms

+4p - 10

by taking out GCF = +2

+2(2p - 5)

All you are asked to do is tell what you took out.
That's 5p² and +2. So you can quit here.

However, very soon you will be asked to write the
original expression

10p³ - 25p² + 4p - 10

as

5p²(2p - 5) + 2(2p - 5)

Then you will be asked to take out the GCF = (2p - 5)

and get

(2p - 5)(5p² + 2)

=======================================================

6n³ + 3n² + 2n + 1

You can factor the first two terms

6n³ + 3n²

by taking out GCF = 3n²

3n²(2n + 1)

You can also factor the last two terms

+2n + 1

by taking out GCF = +1

+1(2n + 1)

All you are asked to do is tell what you took out.
That's 3n² and +1. So you can quit here.

However, very soon you will be asked to write the
original expression

6n³ + 3n² + 2n + 1

as

3n²(2n + 1) + 1(2n + 1)

Then you will be asked to take out the GCF = (2n + 1)

and get

(2n + 1)(3n² + 1)
