Question 414374: I cant solve these problems at all. I solved it like million times but i dont know how you do it?
If you could help me i would really appreciate. Tell me step by step how you got the answer.
Divide using long polynomial division
(x^2-x-1)/(x^3-2x-1)
(x^2+2x)/(x^4-2x^2+5)
(5x+x^4-2x^2)/(x^2+2x)
(2x^3+16x-7-x^2)/(2x-1)
Thank you by the way i watch youtube videos on dividing polynomials but it doesnt helped me! :(
Answer by woolybear(13) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x^(2)-x-1)/(x^(3)-2x-1)
Set up the polynomials to be divided. If there is not a term for every exponent, insert one with a value of 0.
x^(3)+0x^(2)-2x-1,x^(2)-x-1,
The final answer is the quotient plus the remainder over the divisor.
(x^(2)-x-1)/(x^(3)-2x-1)
