Question 411849: Help I am factoring polynomals and this one has me stumped!
2x-3=8x^3-12x^2 please help

Answer by sudhanshu_kmr(1152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

2x -3 = 8x^3 - 12x^2
=> 2x-3 = 4x^2(2x - 3)
=> 2x-3 - 4x^2(2x - 3) = 0
=> (2x-3) (1 -4x^2) = 0
=> (2x-3) (1 -(2x)^2) = 0

=> (2x-3) (1 - 2x)(1 + 2x) = 0

as a^2 -b^2 = (a+b)(a-b)
