Question 406705: hi, would you help me solve a few college algebra problems today?
((-6x)/(7)) = 12 This is a fraction
((-6x/(7) = (12)/(1) multiply both sides by (-6x)
(7)/(1) = (72x)/(6x) = 12
is this right?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if you started with:
((-6x)/(7)) = 12
to get rid of the 7 (on the left) we multiply both sides by 7 to get:
-6x = 84
now, we divide both sides by 6:
-x = 14
finally, we multiply both sides by -1:
x = -14
