Did you mean 6x^2+7x-20??? Becaues the way you wrote it there's nothing to factor. To solve for x you can either use quadratic formula or complete the square. Formula is easier.
6x^2+7x-20=0
a=6, b=7, c=-20

So those are your roots.

you can try completing the square on it as well


so we need to add (7/12)^2 in order to complete the square. But we have to account for that 6 up front, so in reality we are adding 49/24



divide each side by 6
take square root of each side
subtract 7/12 from each side
