Its square is therefore x%5E2

So: a number is subtracted from its square: +x%5E2+-+x+
and this equals 2 --> +x%5E2+-+x+=+2+

so, +x%5E2+-+x+-+2+=+0+ is a quadratic to solve.
(x-2)(x+1) = 0
(x-2) = 0 or (x+1) = 0
