Question 39867: Let x represent the number and then write an expression for the product.
The product of 6 more than a number and 6 less than that number.
Can someone tell me it this is correct and if not please help.
x = (n times 6) + (x - 6)

Not quite.
The product means to multiply the quantities.
6 more than a number is x + 6.
6 less than that number is x - 6.
So the product is
(x + 6)(x - 6)
