Question 39752: Please help me solve this problem: (X-5)(2x+3)=0
This is what I already did: x-5=0 2x+3=0
X=5 2x+3=0
I don't know what to do after I figure out the first solution.

Answer by Earlsdon(6294)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Well, you're almost there:
You already have one solution (root)...x = 5
The other solution requires a little more work:
Subtract 3 from both sides of the equation.
Finally, divide both sides by 2.
