Question 392586: factor using ac method
2x^2+11x+5
Answer by haileytucki(390) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x^(2)+11x+5
In this problem 5*(1)/(2)=5 and 5+(1)/(2)=11, so insert 5 as the right hand term of one factor and (1)/(2) as the right-hand term of the other factor.
(x5)(x+(1)/(2))
Remove the fraction by multiplying the first term of the factor by the denominator of the second term.
(x+5)(2x+1)
