Question 39255: Let's try this again. Please help me simplify the expression: x-(2/(x+1))/x-((4x-2)/(x+1)
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify the expression: x-(2/(x+1))/x-((4x-2)/(x+1)
= x -[2/x(x+1)] - [(4x-2)/(x+1)]
Least common denominator is x(x+1)
=[x(x)(x+1)- 2 - x(4x-2)]/[x(x+1)
=[x^3+x^2-2-4x^2+2x]/[x(x+1)]
=[x^3-3x^2+2x-2]/[x(x+1)]
